Absolutely true.... It must have been agony for him to decide to jump overboard, and then further agony to re-surrender yet again. The poor guy; I hope he gets counseling for post-traumatic stress. God Bless him! :) It's so heartening to see the love of his crew, especially in these dark, dank times so many of us are living in :)True or False...Phillips life was in danger when he jumped overboard and the pirates shot at him?
True
Philipps ran for his life and he could have been killed for trying to escape
I am sure the Pirates did not give Captain Philips a second chance.
I admire the courage of everyone involved in this~~but not the pirates
as they should not do this~~it is only good in old old moviesTrue or False...Phillips life was in danger when he jumped overboard and the pirates shot at him?
False. In the Somali culture, when pirates shoot at you it means they like you and want to be friends. Obama knows this, and that's why he never issued an official statement about it.
The Navy didn't see him during the 1st escape attempt. It was nighttime. That means it was dark....get it?
Today the captain escapes during the daytime (that means the sun is up), and the navy has a clear view of him.
(speaks slowly) understand?
OSU Buckeye.... his life was in danger the moment he was taken hostage moron. put yourself in his shoes and tell me I am wrong. He obviously thought so seeing how he risked drowning twice to get away from them.
I would have to say True. Capt. Phillips life was in danger from the time he was taken as a prisoner until our Navy special trained Seals rescued him.
Again God Bless our military.
duh, huge ocean.....pirates with guns, sharks, ...no life jacket.....duh, his life was in danger a lot of ways when he jumped in the water....
