Do you believe that pro-life propaganda is deliberately false.?

I see pro-lifers who say that partial birth abortions are most common. They think Bush made a big difference.

I beg to differ.

Characteristics of women who obtained legal abortions 1984

Weeks of gestation:

%26lt;8 =50.5%

9-10 = 26.4

11-12 = 12.6

13-15 = 5.8

16-20 = 3.9

%26gt;21 = 0.8

As you can plainly see there is only a very small percentage after 20 weeks.

Do you suppose that the majority of those are performed for medical reasons, like Spina Bifida and Down's?

I realize that for some people the idea of an abortion at any time is abhorrent. I can respect you feelings.

I ask you to respect the fact that what another woman decides to do is none of your business.

http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml…Do you believe that pro-life propaganda is deliberately false.?
Actually the most common reason for IDE or IDX (Intact dilation and extraction) is to remove a fetus that has died and yet the mother's body has not expelled it on its own. There is no such medical term as ';partial birth abortion';. It was a very successful scare tactic.

So think about that. A ban of IDX means that if you, your wife your daughter has the misfortune of having their baby die inside them late in their pregnancy and yet as sometimes happens her body doesn't expel it. She legally can't do anything but carry her dead baby.Do you believe that pro-life propaganda is deliberately false.?
Yes, I think they are playing off of people's emotions. And yes, most late term abortions are for health reasons.
Without a doubt the pro life movement uses outright lies and misrepresentation to raise money and gain power. They do not care about human life, they only care about money and power. At least that is my view of the leadership of the movement. I do believe the followers believe they are trying to save life, but they have been mislead.
Folks can have whatever position they care to have--I accept that and acknowledge that. If you are a bible thumper its obvious that god himself did not consider a fetus a human being--elsewise he wouldn't have drowned all the pregnant mothers. You can hem and haw and claim deitical exclusion from morality--but it's a weak arguement. Therefore the only reason to take that position of pro-life is personal-which itself is okay. However, until R vs Wade is overruled, which it most likely will not be, it is the law of the land in this country. This rather puts the prolifers in the position of either accepting the law of the land (render unto caeser) or moving to a country more of your liking. You and all the prolifers out there are more than welcome to carry your fetuses to term--you do not, however, under the laws of this nation--have the right to choose for another woman.
I am a woman. Therefore it is my business.

I am most definitely NOT a Christian, and abortion still sickens me.

The only way I see it fit is if the woman's life is in danger.

Rape victims... give the child up for adoption.

The propoganda is wrong, but so is abortion in general.

Being an 18-year-old female, who has had numerous, terrible sex-related experiences... I feel that I have a right to speak out about how wrong abortion is.
There is no such thing as partial birth abortion. This is a term made up by idiots to fan the flames of bigger idiots
I agree with you nobody should tell me what to do with my body
we should always be protected by law and allowed the freedom to kill and to practice natural convenience priority situations. I mean, if someone gets beaten to death with a baseball bat, are they going to outlaw baseball bats? then they would just switch to a metal pipe or a 2 by 4. humans can be just evil by abusing sex as a awesome cheap device for pleasure and then when the responsibility appears, run and hide like puppies....bunch of P*SS**S
I am pro life but I think that you are correct about propaganda. That is why you have to educate yourself on these statistics like you have done. Still any partial birth abortion is just really disgusting to me.
They also blatantly lie about a correlation between abortion and breast cancer.
Of course. It is no different than their insisting that evolution means men came from monkeys.
i think the entire anti-abortion rights movement is based on playing off emotions.

the term they use for themselves, ';pro-life,'; conjures images that the opposition is ';pro-death.';

they often use the phrase ';murdering a baby'; for terminating a pregnancy, when abortion is neither. murder is the act of illegally killing human being. abortion is legal and a fetus is not the same thing as a baby.
This is true.

Myself, I believe in Retroactive Abortion.
Hey...

I just feel it is safer in a doctor's office than in somebody's kitchen.
It sure is.

The ';pro-life'; movement is run by people who create web sites that hunt doctors that perform abotions!

In 1984 there were 18 reported incidences of violence or harassments near reproductive clinics. 20 years later, 2004 statistics showed one third of all clinics made such claims.

The claims on partial-birth statistics are deliberately false for a reason. It keeps the movement alive and distracts attention from the criminal element that is running the movement.

I have always said that the pro-life movement is the most deranged fringe group on the planet and your question strengthens that argument.Thank you.
I don't care what you do with your body. It's the child within that deserves the same chance you recieved. Killing babies or potential babies is murder.
