Does intelligence exist in plant life? true or false?

How does it not?

Leaves move towards light

A Seed can stay dormant until it has the proper conditions to grow

Roots dig for nutrients and spread out according to the size of the plant in order to keep upright

Flowers have specific designs on their pedals to attract bees, in order to boost pollination

Some flowers even close at night and re-open in the day to save engery

A plant will not grow larger unless it can sustain it's current size

A plant can 'choke' a neighbouring plant's root system, in order to steal that plants water, nutrients, and sunlight

And as far as reacting, a plant can become shocked if you drastically put it into a different environment which it is too cold or to hot and You can shock it's root system by transplanting it poorly.

As far as being physically evolved, plants have very complicated water and food channels inside the stems coming from the roots, and moving into the leaves. Ensuring that each part of the plant gets what it needs to sustain and survive.Does intelligence exist in plant life? true or false?
i think so.

have you ever seen the venus flytrap? it's defensive plant and snaps shut when it feels an object.

Plants scream in agony when you pull them from the ground or even pick their fruit. And don't even think about eating any food that falls on the ground, like apples. Those are unborn baby seeds wrapped in a cocoon of nourishment until they germinate. Shame on you for eating!
False the itelligence dosnt exist within the plant it exsist within the plants cells which the dna act as the central control or brain so False unless you go into biological differences
i would have to guess false.

i dont see one plant killing another to survive.

(well plants that can do kill other plants, but all of those plants try...it just depends on which one got the most sun and water.)

so False for me.
Impossible to answer, until we can find a way to get them to react...if even that's possible. They certainly don't seem to have much higher functioning though...not much of a brain to show off.
That's a fantastic question.

Maybe it's evolution rather than intelligence.
No intelligence but there is a theory about a nervous system
to an extent yes..ie..always grows towrds light to survive..it not like human inteligene..its just tjey adapted this way to survive
Given that they don't have anything resembling nerve or brain cells, it's pretty darn unlikely...
i think it's more instinct than intelligence.
I would say no. Not because we are sure of it but because there's really no way to understand a plant.
It's been proven that plants ';feel'; pain and can communicate with each other. Beyond that...I don't know.
this is a question like are humans intelligent and the answer is maybe or maybe not
True

Good question by the way.
No intelligence in plants...good Q though, Here's a star
True
true
