The attainment of happiness is the primary goal in life. true, false, neither, why?

if not then what is the primary goal in life? why?The attainment of happiness is the primary goal in life. true, false, neither, why?
The attainment of happiness does rank pretty high up on the emotional scale but it is not the top of the same scale.

Relativity plays a big part in life. For example happiness looks pretty good to someone who at best experiences optimism or contentment or boredom. More so as another example for someone who is constantly in doubt.

Happiness pretty well is too much to ask for for a constant worrier or someone often in anger or hate. For someone suffering from depression, don`t even mention happiness as for them it does not even exist.

So what is better than happiness? Passion for one and then the high level, the ultimate, the plateau which contains joy, knowledge, empowerment, freedom, love and appreciation. Some call this plateau enlightenment and likely do this because of the emotion of knowledge.

Now you got the answer to your many questions all in one, what next for you Hector? Was it all worth it? Cheers! The attainment of happiness is the primary goal in life. true, false, neither, why?
Happiness is inherent part of our own life.

It is called accomplishment of the accomplished.

Every act is performed to accomplish something and three factors are involved in this process: (1) the thing to be accomplished, (2) the means of accomplishment, and (3) the person who strives to accomplish. By a proper and an adequate effort, one can accomplish anything that is unaccomplished. However, no effort or action is required to accomplish that which is already accomplished. For instance, I need not make any special effort to acquire a head over my shoulders.

Happiness is similar.
True, Because no matter what it is you do ,you do it so that you will be happy , if it makes you happy to give to others thats what you do if it makes you happy to take from others thats what you do . sorry to say , happiness is a life long goal , that we usually fall just a little short of . but we keep trying , over and over and over again , it's sometimes a little bit of a struggle to achieve happiness , But we will try everything we can think of to , to satisfy that deep need .
Hector C-

From the beginning of time, people have asked: Who am I? Why am I here? What is my purpose? I think the primary go is to determine purpose. We need to have a sense of self worth and a sense of a place in this world. Happiness is important and how it is achieved varies with the individual. If a person's purpose is to be rich, famous, powerful, or do help the world, make a difference in the lives of loved ones, then if it is achieved, the individual achieves happiness.
Hola mi querido....

Well....that's ';debatable'; honey....and all depends on the individual....and I was stunned to hear ';dizzy's'; reply....(his avatar name sure ';suits him';)-smile- because he's totally ';off'; and full of negativity.....

Now...to me....I think that the primary goal is to be CONTENT, satisfied with your life is priority and...furthermore that you (at the ';end';) can say: ';I made a difference';....';I contributed ';something'; to humanity.....just like you for instance....you've contributed with all your beautiful music to the generations ';to come';.....

May I leave you with a wise ';piece of advice'; as in the song was suggested by......? (forgot who) to ';create memories'; .....because when we get old...all we have are our beautiful memories to reflect upon....

Cherish all your happy moments: they make a fine cushion for old age.

Christopher Morley (1890 - 1957)

And the wise Benjamin also knew what he was talking about ';back then';.....

Content makes poor men rich; discontentment makes rich men poor.

Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790)

May you enjoy the richness of your happy moments and cherish them as I cherish you until the ';day I die';....mis mejores saludos e mi amore*
True

Many people might say false, but it is definitely true.

I doubt that even explainations are needed. All one has to do, is find an action that was willingly made by one, and keep asking the question ';why'; until when he/she can't anymore. The answer will always be happiness.

Some ';selfless'; actions might seem to the exception at first, but are actually beneficial for the person who did it if you consider it thoughtfully.
Well it depends on your faith, your religion.

Others see it as a way to be forever in God's kingdom, and this physical life we have now is a preparation to our next phase - spiritual.

Others see it as a true and only life that we have and we will have, so they say, enjoy life to the fullest.

For me, its mostly on the first one, there is life, after the one that we now have on earth. Happiness is a relative term, which is enjoying life without giving heartaches and without the sinful life. Clean.

But I am not a saint, and God gave me free will to choose. So admittedly, I also have downfalls and there were mistakes committed along the way.

I enjoy life as it is now, base on my own choices, and up to now, I have no regrets. There are only two words to remember in making a choice,,,, DO GOOD!
neither. it is a gola but a secondary goal. i think this for reasons some cannont understand. i am part of a cult and htis cult is not for fun, it is for doing what you should. it is about duty. i will have a horrible time doing something i hate, but i must, rather than have fun. i get joy in knowing that i have done a good job, and done what i have to do. so i complete waht i must adn are happy because of it.
TRUE, happiness should be your priority in life, everyone has to find what makes them happy in life and be happy. It's been proved that some people can be rich and not be happy, so just find happiness and try to live with it, what ever that is to you.
I do not think it is true. For me it is to use all knowledge and ';gifts'; of self to make others around me better served, and hopefully add to my corner of the world and no matter who you are , or where you live you will not escape suffering.
The attainment of ';Joy'; is the primary goal and not 'happiness', because happiness is only temporary to where True Joy is that ';Calm Delight'; in any situation you are in .
Neither. Why couldn't the primary goal of life be the attainment of unhappiness?

There is no primary goal in life.
Goal is to bring the program of the soul for this life into reality. The pursuit od happiness (US constitution) is contradictory.
No doubt it is true.

Even if you decide to end your life it seems a better lot is your aim.
i am just trying to make it to the end , my happiness is irrelevant.
true
false
