I was talking to my cousin a few weeks ago and she told me she is starting high school in September, here is how our conversation went.





Me - Are you looking forward to high school?





Cousin - Yeah, can't wait!, Me and all my friends are going to be signing everyday!





Me - What do you mean?





Cousin - Haven't you seen High School Musical?





Me - That is just a film, high school is nothing like that.





Cousin - It is! I also hope I meet a pop star in class! I would never tell her secret!





Now do you think shows/films such as High School Musical and Hannah Montana have a bad effect on children?Does High School Musical and Hannah Montana create a false view on high school life?
oh my god my little sister is always going on about how high school will be amazing because she's seen high school musical / hannah montana and im like it isn't like that and that it's + loads of homework but she conviced, it's epic do the creaters not think what will happen , i'll feel sorry for the kids cause it'll be a big let down for them =[Does High School Musical and Hannah Montana create a false view on high school life?
I agree, but not only that... it encourages this whole there has to be popular and cool.


My high school was definitely not like those movies at all. Sure there are people that do sports and other extra curricular activities and are more known or popular than others. But that whole ';mean girl'; thing, i dont know about other schools in the nation, but my school was nothing like.
Yes and plus in the movies and shows the parents just let the kids do whatever and walk on the beach by themselves and hang out with their friends without telling them. And that NEVER happens in real life.

If your cousin thinks that real life is just like ANY movie or TV show, then he/she has a real problem. Those movies/shows aren't any worse than any other.

Money does not buy happiness. It can make you comfortable in the short term, but the overall picture of your life doesn't change if you are not happy within your self. If you have love and friendship, you are wealthy, just not in a material sense. Being bound by that love, friendship, trust and respect to people that you care about brings more meaning to one's life than money ever does. Having lots of money can actually work the opposite because then you find your self surrounded by people that only like you for the money, would never truly stick by you in times of trouble and you could never depend on their friendship or have a trust in them. I was watching the discovery channel and there was this show about the future and new inventions (i forgot what the name was, but the show is becoming popular right now) and they where talking about how within 3 centuries society is gonna have available a pill that increases your life span. They said they found some kind of chemical in red whine that increases life span, so their putting it in a pill and they've tested it already on mice and other creatures and it appears to be working. Do you think this is real? Has anyone else seen this show on the discovery channel? Do they lie often?Pill that increases life span will be made? True or False?
Yes, red grapes (and red wine) have anti-aging properties (as well as countless other herbs and substances on earth), but I highly doubt that a 'pill' will ever be made to prolong the lives of humans who refuse to keep healthy and do the necessary work themselves.





We have the ability right now to live MUCH longer than they typical 70-80 years we're living, but most of us still refuse to make the needed sacrifices in order to achieve that. (i.e. exercise, stop eating processed/dead food, relax, rid ourselves of toxicity, etc.)





But.. on a brighter note; I bet if the world's life expectancy is to be increased by a pill, McDonald's will get a lot more business!

People are so gullible.
I've heard about the natural chemical in red wine, but never about the pill. I'm assuming that since it's on the Discovery Channel, it's pretty legit, and chemically speaking, it's very possible that they've isolated this life-span-increasing agent into pill form. They probably don't know all of its side effects though.





If you're looking to increase your life span, I suggest looking at the cultures that have the most long-lived individuals. One of them is Japanese culture. They drink a lot of green tea (this also helps with health endurance), eat a lot of fish, and also have some methods of meditation (Zen) as well as a good dose of spirituality in their lifestyles. Do some research and see what you can incorporate into your own. ;)

could you tell me your experience? if you have used it tell me how do you do it? I want to learn to use this because I am suffering anxiety since I was a child and all this anxiety became deeper with my came out before that I always felt and I still feeling anxiety well I am a gay and I live in mexico, I know one part of me doesn't like this and one part of this yes, it's like I want to be acceptable by friends and relatives.. I live in a small town and I have been with 2 psychologists and one psychiatric who is giving me medications.. my medication is efexor 150mg but I have tried several medications but it didn't work until today efexor still without any result in my life.. well I don't kno what to do and someone told me about this law but I can't understand how does work in your life? can it help me with my anxiety? You are acceptable. Completely acceptable. Being gay is a perfectly natural thing. Studies have shown that there are even gay seagulls, so it's not just humans who are gay. It's just part of nature.





Second, it makes sense that you might be feeling anxious about coming out. Trust me though, the anxiety will go away as you become more comfortable with yourself.





If efexor is not working let you doctor know and try something else. Keep going to talk therapy. Surround yourself with people who are OK with you being gay.Is the law of attraction true or false? does work in your life?
Hey man, just relax ! There is such a thing as attraction, but it occurs only to those who are relaxed enough to see it ! You seem to be too tense, that's why your life tends to escape from you ! It doesn't matter who you are or what you do, what matters is: life is short and you should take it the way it is. Trying to change things by force will only scare, frustrate you and make you more unhappy ! I suggest you to forget the pills and rearrange your pattern of thinking the way it suits you, that is: try to be calm, focused on things at hand, don't think too much ahead contemplating the future that might never come ! Don't linger on what had gone wrong ! It happened and you can forget about it ...In simple words: embrace your life and try not to harm others or yourself, be happy !

True...I started at University when i was 28...doing a BA in English Lit and Visual Arts and Archaeology.....10 years later at 38 I had my first child....both of which I am glad I waited to do as I was more mature and ready.....I had finished partying and travelling and was ready to face those challenges head on....I really enjoyed Uni and learnt a lot about people while I was there....and my son...well he is the light of my life......True or False: You've done something later in life that most people do when they are younger?
